Goheung-gun Implements 50% Reduction on Traditional Market Stall Rental Fees
243 Traditional Market Stalls in 5 Traditional Markets Over 6 Months
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Goheung County, Jeonnam announced on the 7th that it will reduce the usage fees of traditional market stalls by 50% for six months from January to June to support traditional market merchants facing difficulties due to the contraction of consumer activities caused by the spread of COVID-19.
The reduction targets include 243 traditional market stalls across five traditional markets in the county, including Goheung Traditional Market, where 96 stalls operate, as well as Nokdong, Gwayeok, Donggang, and Dohwa markets.
As part of the Good Landlord Practice Movement, the county had already implemented a 50% reduction in traditional market stall usage fees for six months last year (first phase from March to May, second phase from October to December), providing tangible support measures for market merchants.
In addition, a ‘Seol Goheung Love Gift Certificate 10% Special Discount’ sale will be held from January 1 to February 28. Individuals can purchase up to 500,000 KRW per month at a 10% discount off the face value when paying in cash.
