[Let's Run Again Construction Korea] Strengthening Smart Technology in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] HDC Hyundai Development Company is strengthening smart technologies to align with the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
As a member of the HDC Group, HDC Hyundai Development Company, together with affiliates such as HDC I Controls, is applying technologies like 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) to I-Park apartments and construction sites.
In fact, HDC Hyundai Development Company's smart technologies can be seen in offices and construction sites. HDC Hyundai Development Company has developed the 'Smart LED Remote Control System' in collaboration with HDC I Controls, the first of its kind in Korea, and is applying it to its apartment brand I-Park construction sites.
The Smart LED Remote Control System is a test system that allows remote control of lighting at sites where smart LED mood lighting has been installed. After completing lighting work in the complex, instead of inspecting each unit individually, lighting can be tested remotely, reducing inspection time and dramatically improving work efficiency.
Through smart technology development, convenient living is also being provided to I-Park residents. Future I-Park residents will be able to conveniently register their face and information using a facial recognition access system application, allowing them to enter the main entrance without entering a separate password or using a card tag.
The smart residential service app 'MyHomi' for convenient living of I-Park residents officially opened last July. MyHomi allows I-Park residents (7 complexes, 13,000 households) to use the app to check management fees, participate in electronic voting, reserve community facilities within I-Park, access lifestyle convenience services, and shop at an exclusive online mall for I-Park residents.
Additionally, the company is realizing organic integration between headquarters and sites by supporting Building Information Modeling (BIM) tasks at construction sites. BIM is a digital technology that implements all information about a building as a three-dimensional image, enabling integrated use.
By establishing a BIM group composed of experts in design, estimation, cost, and construction, BIM technology is being applied from the planning and design stages of buildings.
Moreover, HDC Hyundai Development Company introduced a collaboration platform last year to create a digital-based work environment. Employees have moved away from face-to-face reporting that shares their tasks and schedules, instead sharing materials with related departments in advance, receiving feedback, and reporting to the final approver, establishing a faster and smarter work method.
