KOSPI Hits Intraday High Again on Institutional Buying... Surpasses 3030 Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] On the 7th, the KOSPI index once again reached an intraday record high, driven by institutional investors' buying momentum.
As of 10:50 AM that day, the KOSPI index stood at 3,030.28, up 62.07 points (2.09%) from the previous trading day.
The index opened at 2,990.08, up 12.54 points (0.74%) from the previous trading day. Early in the session, it rose to 3,028.68, surpassing the previous intraday high of 3,027.16. It then continued to widen its gains, successfully breaking through the 3,030 level.
On that day, institutions were net buyers of 560.3 billion KRW, lifting the index. In contrast, individuals were net sellers of 567.3 billion KRW, and foreigners were net sellers of 16.2 billion KRW.
