KOSPI Starts Up 1.4%... Recovers 3000 Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] On the 7th, the KOSPI started with a rise of over 1.4%, regaining the 3000 level during the session.
As of 9:14 AM that day, the KOSPI stood at 3010.45, up 42.24 points (1.42%) from the previous trading day. The index opened at 2980.75, up 12.54 points (0.42%), and quickly surpassed the 3000 mark.
By trading participants, individuals and foreigners sold net amounts of 79.8 billion KRW and 120 billion KRW respectively. Meanwhile, institutions led the index rise with net purchases of 189.5 billion KRW.
Most of the top market capitalization stocks rose. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix increased by 1.58% and 1.53%, respectively. In contrast, Celltrion (-0.14%) and NAVER (-1.03%) declined.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ recorded 985.53, up 4.24 points (0.43%). Individuals sold a net 37 billion KRW, and institutions also sold a net 32.3 billion KRW.
