Miryang City plans to create a new department within the Agricultural Technology Center to systematically support and manage the influx of return-to-farming and rural migration populations, and to expand the Return-to-Farming and Rural Migration Comprehensive Support Center into a separate facility.
At the Comprehensive Support Center, the office, comprehensive consultation room, and information search room will be integrated and operated. Experienced agricultural and return-to-farming workers will be assigned as professional counselors to provide convenience to applicants by guiding them through settlement roadmaps.
Through the establishment of the ‘Miryang City Return-to-Farming and Rural Migration Homepage,’ various support policies and vacant house information will be showcased. Educational information related to farming and return-to-farming will be provided, and for returnees who feel burdened by lack of information and experience about rural life, a ‘Living in the Countryside in Advance’ program will be promoted, including local exploration, helping with farm work, farming practice, and visits to leading farms.
Additionally, support for farmland lease costs up to 1.5 million KRW and ‘Village Unit Visiting Integration Education’ will be implemented. Various support projects will also be planned to create harmony with local residents.
