Yoon Tae-ho, head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters' quarantine team, stated at a regular briefing on the 6th, "From the 7th through Sunday, the operating hours of temporary screening clinics in the metropolitan area will be shortened to 11 a.m. to 3 p.m." He explained, "This is to protect the medical staff working at the temporary screening clinics and ensure the safety of those being tested due to the ongoing cold wave."

The temporary screening clinics will resume normal operations from next week. As of today, a total of 143 temporary screening clinics are operating in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon. Since the 14th of last month, 826,372 diagnostic tests have been conducted at these sites, identifying 2,398 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
