[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] At around 8:15 a.m. on the 6th, 20 liters of ammonia leaked from a refrigerated storage tank at a seafood company in Jinryang-eup, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongbuk.
As a result of the accident, one employee near the site sustained a wound on the back of the hand. Although there were about 4 tons of ammonia in the tank, the firefighters who arrived quickly closed the valve to prevent further leakage. About 10 firefighting vehicles equipped with special equipment and around 40 firefighters were deployed to the scene.
