eBay Korea Announces Winners of the 12th Korea e-Marketing Fair
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] eBay Korea announced on the 6th that it has selected 8 companies as winners of the online expo "The 12th Korea e-Marketing Fair" for their contribution to expanding online sales channels and boosting sales of agricultural, marine products, and traditional foods.
Started in 2009 and now in its 12th edition, the "e-Marketing Fair" is the only domestic e-commerce festival for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) hosted by eBay Korea and sponsored by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. It introduces innovative and excellent products from producers nationwide, SMEs, social enterprises, and sellers from information-vulnerable groups to consumers, and selects and awards the best-performing sales companies.
In this event, a total of 470 companies sold over 620 excellent products through Gmarket and Auction from November 30 to December 20 last year. Among the participating companies, outstanding achievements and cases were selected, and a total of 8 companies received 2 million won worth of eMoney each along with promotional marketing support in four categories: regional revitalization, agriculture and food, marine products, and transaction innovation.
The award-winning companies include 'Jeunganri Yakcho Village' and 'Samcheok Seokigi Jeongtteok,' which received the Grand Prize and Minister's Award from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in the regional revitalization category. 'Nong-eop Hoesa Beobin Heukaeseo' and 'Boksundoga' won the Grand Prize and Minister's Award in the agriculture and food category. 'The Singsing' and 'Gwangcheon Gim' received the Grand Prize and Minister's Award in the marine products category, while 'Suncheonman Susan' and 'Gammien' won the eBay Korea Special Award in the transaction innovation category.
Over the past 12 years through the e-Marketing Fair, cumulative transaction volume has exceeded 1.3 trillion won, providing opportunities for about 13,500 local producers and sellers to promote their products via Gmarket and Auction. Additionally, by conducting more than 1,000 promotions and selling over 30,000 products, it has supported securing sales channels for local producers and SMEs nationwide.
