According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 6th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area increased by 28 from the previous day to 2,517 (including 118 imported cases).
New confirmed cases by region are 12 in Pohang, 11 in Gumi, 4 in Sangju, and 1 in Gimcheon.
Among the 12 new confirmed cases in Pohang, 8 are contacts of previously confirmed cases (such as Pohang case number 139), and 4 have unknown infection routes. There is 1 confirmed case related to the group outbreak in the Guryongpo area, where a sojubang (Korean bar) cluster occurred.
Among the 11 new confirmed cases in Gumi, 7 are contacts of confirmed cases linked to churches. Five are contacts related to Songjeong Church, and one each are related to Guun Church and Saemsotneun Church. The other 4 are contacts of confirmed cases from Seoul or Daegu. In the case of Songjeong Church, with 5 additional cases confirmed on this day, the cumulative number of confirmed cases rose to 79.
Among the 4 new confirmed cases in Sangju, 2 are contacts of confirmed cases related to Hanyeonghon Church. The other 2 have unknown infection routes. Regarding Hanyeonghon Church, including the pastor and family members and believers confirmed on the 25th of last month, totaling 8 people, the number of confirmed cases officially announced by the quarantine authorities has reached 25 so far.
In addition, in Gimcheon City, one resident with an unknown infection route tested positive after visiting a screening clinic.
In Gyeongsangbuk-do, over the past week, 155 residents (excluding imported cases) across the region have been confirmed positive, resulting in a weekly daily average of 22.1 confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, in Gyeongbuk, the highest daily number of confirmed cases was 122 on March 6, followed by a drop to 31 on March 8. However, after showing the same daily number of 31 cases on December 17, the numbers surged to 59 on the 21st and 67 on the 24th.
