Gwangju City Appoints Mr. Go Chang-rok as Urban Agriculture Policy Advisor
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 5th that it has appointed Mr. Go Chang-rok, an expert in the field of urban agriculture, as an urban agriculture policy advisor.
The urban agriculture policy advisor is responsible for ▲establishing and advising on urban agriculture-related policies ▲building and fostering networks of urban agriculture-related organizations and communities ▲collaborating on tasks requiring expertise related to urban agriculture.
The newly appointed policy advisor Go Chang-rok has contributed to the establishment and promotion of Seoul's urban agriculture policies by serving as a consultant at the Seoul Village Community Comprehensive Support Center and as the general manager of the Urban Agriculture Master Plan at the Urban Regeneration Headquarters.
He is currently a member of the Gwangju Urban Agriculture Committee and the vice mayor of Nowon Mondragon Cooperative, actively working as a private expert in the field of urban agriculture.
In this regard, reflecting the increasing interest and demand for urban agriculture among citizens, Gwangju City expanded its practical space through an organizational restructuring effective January 1st, established an urban agriculture team dedicated to promoting urban agriculture policies, and fostered professional personnel.
