Cheongam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Achieves Top 10% in 'Social Service Quality Evaluation' with Grade A
Korea Social Security Information Service under the Ministry of Health and Welfare Selected as an Excellent Project in 'Social Service Quality Evaluation'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Cheongam University (President Seo Hyung-won) Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation announced on the 5th that it has been honored to be selected as an excellent project (within the top 10% of grade A) in the 『Social Service Quality Evaluation』 conducted by the Korea Social Security Information Service last year.
This award is the result of the evaluation of the "Multicultural Family Children Adaptation Support Service," a community social service investment project under the Social Welfare Business Center of Cheongam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.
The community social service investment project is a program that supports customized social services tailored to the needs of the local community to improve the quality of life of local residents.
Since 2011, the Social Welfare Business Center under Cheongam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation has been providing language achievement improvement services, language development diagnosis, and counseling services to children from multicultural families in six cities and counties, including Suncheon City, through the "Multicultural Family Children Adaptation Support Service."
This recent evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare for reliable service quality management that citizens can trust was carried out based on 32 indicators across five areas: institution operation, personnel management, service provision and evaluation, service performance, and field evaluation team.
Cheongam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation was recognized as a nationwide excellent institution by being selected as an excellent project (within the top 10% of grade A) in this quality evaluation, receiving the Minister of Health and Welfare Award along with a prize money and a plaque.
Additionally, it was evaluated that the implementation of the Multicultural Family Children Adaptation Support Service has greatly contributed to improving the language achievement and quality of life of children from multicultural families.
President Seo Hyung-won stated, “We will continue to strive to fulfill the university’s social responsibility and serve by providing high-quality social services for vulnerable groups to meet the diverse demands and needs of local residents through cooperation between the university and local governments as we do now.”

Meanwhile, Cheongam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation was also selected as an excellent institution in the ‘Jeonnam Regional Autonomous Social Service Investment Project’ by the Jeonnam Welfare Foundation in December last year and received a plaque of appreciation.
