Gas Depot Explosion in Lebanon... At Least 10 Injured
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] At least 10 people were injured on the 3rd (local time) due to a gas warehouse explosion in Lebanon.
According to the local media 'Daily Star,' the Lebanese Red Cross and military reported that after a gas warehouse exploded in the eastern Hermel area near the Syrian border, 10 injured people were transported to the hospital.
Hermel is an area where many smugglers cross between Syria and Lebanon across the border. A military spokesperson said it appears that gas cylinders exploded.
Previously, in August last year, two large explosions occurred at the Beirut port in the capital, killing about 200 people and injuring around 6,000.
