View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] On the 4th, the Jeonnam Provincial Council held the 2021 opening ceremony in the council's Choi Room, sharing the achievements of last year's legislative activities and pledging to operate the council for the residents.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, the ceremony was attended by only about 20 people, including Chairman Kim Han-jong, Vice Chairmen Gu Bok-gyu and Kim Seong-il, Operations Committee Chair Jeon Gyeong-seon, and Secretary General Choi Jong-seon, while staff watched through the public viewing channel.
Chairman Kim Han-jong emphasized, "2020 was a year of great achievement with the revision of the Local Autonomy Act," adding, "This legislative activity was made possible by the dedication and efforts of all the staff."

He continued, "Until we overcome the COVID-19 crisis, the top priority of legislative activities will be the recovery of people's livelihoods, creating hope and expectations for the residents," and added, "I ask all staff for passionate and meticulous support so that council members can represent public opinion and carry out legislative activities that share the pain of the residents."
