Gimhae-si, Ban on Gatherings Including Health Functional Food Sales Businesses
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] On the 1st, Gimhae City in Gyeongnam issued an administrative order banning gatherings from 0:00 on the 2nd to 24:00 on the 15th for health functional food sales businesses in the form of experience rooms, temporary sales booths (tteotdabang), and other similar illegal sales facilities within the region.
This gathering ban was issued as an administrative order to strongly respond to the prevention of infection and spread after multiple confirmed cases of COVID-19 occurred at health functional food sales venues in the form of experience rooms.
The city plans to take administrative actions such as filing complaints against violating businesses based on epidemiological investigation results, and additionally issue gathering ban administrative orders for other facilities where multiple COVID-19 confirmed cases occur.
To strengthen management of blind spots in quarantine, the city has formed a ‘Unmanaged Facilities Inspection Promotion Team’ led by the vice mayor, mobilizing all administrative power for preemptive COVID-19 blocking and spread prevention through focused inspections.
