'Cumulative Registered Workers on the "Small and Medium Enterprise Welfare Platform" Surpass 140,000'
Celebrating 10,000 Company Sign-ups, New Year Special New Member Registration Event Scheduled
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 3rd that the 'SME Welfare Platform,' launched in September last year to improve the welfare of SME workers, has surpassed 140,000 registered workers, 10,000 cumulative registered companies, and 140 affiliated and partnered companies within 15 months.
Since its launch, about 1,000 SMEs have been joining every month, with the number of registered workers increasing by approximately 10,000 each month, making it very popular among SME workers eager for welfare benefits.
Over the 15 months since its launch, the number of affiliated and partnered companies providing welfare services has steadily expanded. Currently, 32 affiliated companies and 98 partnered companies in various fields such as travel, self-development, and health offer over 1.2 million welfare products. In particular, when purchasing affiliated company products through the welfare platform, a minimum 5% discount is applied, allowing all subscribers to use welfare services at affordable prices.
The service has also been upgraded. Last year, a welfare points system was established, enabling SMEs to systematically provide and manage employee welfare expenses using welfare points. A mobile application was also launched, allowing easy access to the SME Welfare Platform not only via personal computers but also smartphones.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry plan to expand the number of subscribers to 300,000, registered companies to 20,000, and affiliated and partnered companies to 200 by the end of this year, aiming to develop the SME Welfare Platform as the leading brand of domestic SME welfare malls.

Jung Ki-hwan, Director of the Job Policy Division at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "To revitalize the SME Welfare Platform, it is important to expand services such as affiliated companies and discounts and to establish a virtuous cycle where increased subscribers lead to further expansion of affiliated companies and discounts." He added, "This year, through steady expansion of affiliated companies and service improvements, we will establish the SME Welfare Platform as the representative brand of corporate welfare malls in Korea and strive to reduce the welfare gap between large and small-medium enterprises."
