Lexus Korea Donates 1,500 Books Through Book Donation Campaign
Delivered to the Nonprofit Reading Promotion Organization ThanksGive
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Lexus Korea announced on the 31st that it delivered over 1,500 books collected through a book donation campaign at Connect2 to the nonprofit organization 'Thanks-Give' on the 30th.
Started in 2014, the 'Book Donation Campaign' is a social contribution activity where books donated by customers visiting Connect2, Lexus's automotive cultural complex space, are collected and delivered to the nonprofit reading promotion organization Thanks-Give. Customers have been encouraged to participate by offering a free coffee coupon at Connect2 for every three books donated.
The collected books will be delivered to small study rooms, rural area libraries, and small libraries used by children and adolescents from low-income families in the future.
Lee Byung-jin, Executive Director of Lexus Korea, said, "We hope this book donation will serve as motivation and a foundation for students facing difficulties to have dreams," adding, "Lexus Korea will continue activities through Connect2 that can help youth and young adults."
