Celebrity Baseball SBO League "Sharing Comfort and Hope in the New Year"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Joo-hee] Jeong Cheon-sik, the inaugural president of the Korea Celebrity Baseball Association (SBO, Star Baseball Organization) (photo), stated in his New Year's message on the 30th that "the goal of the SBO League in the New Year of the Year of the Ox is to share warm comfort and hope not only with baseball fans but also with all members of our society who are in difficult circumstances amid the serious national crisis caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19)."
Marking its 15th year since its launch in 2021, the SBO League is preparing for a second leap forward after appointing Jeong Cheon-sik, CEO of Blue Indus Co., Ltd., as its inaugural president on the 14th. The 2020 SBO League held a tournament over six weeks at Janghang Baseball Stadium in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, with 12 teams participating. The Crusaders (led by actor Im Ho) won the championship, while the Gag Concert team (managed by comedian Lee Dong-yoon) finished as runners-up.

In the new year, the SBO League plans to establish the first Hanstar Women's League with the founding of the SBO Women's Celebrity Baseball Team (led by singer Insooni), aiming to embed "SBO Sportainment," where men, women, young and old, and families can all enjoy together, into our daily lives.
