Hwasun-gun, Relaxation of Selection Criteria for Basic Livelihood Security System Living Allowance
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 30th that it will ease the selection criteria for basic livelihood security living allowances starting January next year.
The county formed a T/F team and plans to send guidance letters to about 1,000 preliminary candidates by January 15 next year, actively promoting the easing of selection criteria and discovering eligible recipients by utilizing the town and township welfare human safety network.
The support obligor criteria determine eligibility by investigating the income and assets of the first-degree lineal relatives and spouses of basic livelihood security recipients. From next year, elderly people aged 65 or older and legally single-parent families (aged 30 or older) will not be subject to the support obligor criteria.
