Renault Samsung Motors, COVID-19 Case Confirmed at Busan Plant... "131 People in Self-Quarantine"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] It has been confirmed that one employee at Renault Samsung Motors' Busan plant tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). A total of 131 people classified as close contacts have entered self-quarantine.
Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 29th that on the 27th, an employee responsible for vehicle testing at the Busan plant was notified of a COVID-19 positive diagnosis.
Renault Samsung Motors explained, "The confirmed employee is not a production line worker, but since they used the company cafeteria and had overlapping movement paths with others, the total number of people identified, including subcontractor employees, was 221. All of them tested negative in COVID-19 diagnostic tests."
Among them, 131 people were classified as close contacts by health authorities and have entered self-quarantine.
