Travel Agencies Resume Selling Overseas Travel Packages One After Another... Competition to Secure Customers Intensifies
Treasure Island Tour Sales Begin Following Hana Tour and Cham Joeun Travel
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Comprehensive travel company 'Bomeulseom Tour' will start selling overseas travel products from January 4, 2021.
Following the proactive product sales by industry peers such as Chamjoeun Travel and Hana Tour, this move aims to secure the travel plans of potential customers who have been suppressed since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The travel products offered by Bomeulseom Tour are initially limited to nearby Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, with schedules departing after April 1.
Bomeulseom Tour stated, "We have planned products for countries where 'travel bubbles'?agreements allowing travel between countries?are expected, such as Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Bali in Indonesia, as well as Guam, Saipan, Australia, and New Zealand," adding, "These destinations are considered to have excellent quarantine measures and are entering a stable phase regarding COVID-19 compared to other regions."
Bomeulseom Tour plans to comply with government quarantine guidelines even after selling the products and prioritize travelers' safety based on close cooperation with airlines, local partners overseas, and tourism boards.
Additionally, if safe travel conditions are not met after booking or if a two-week self-quarantine upon return is required, the trip will be automatically canceled and the deposit will be fully refunded.
The deposit for Bomeulseom Tour's overseas travel products can be freely paid from 1,000 KRW to 50,000 KRW per person. In line with the campaign named 'Happiness Recharge,' once the departure of the travel product is confirmed, Bomeulseom Tour will support travelers with an amount equal to the deposit they paid.
The participation of a mid-sized travel agency with 27 years of experience in overseas travel products is due to the considerable latent demand for overseas travel.
According to a survey released by Incheon International Airport Corporation on the 15th, 70.2% of Koreans and 82.0% of foreigners responded that they plan to travel abroad after the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.
This reflects a compensatory psychology where travelers, suppressed by the prolonged COVID-19 situation, intend to travel abroad once safety is guaranteed through vaccine development and administration.
In response, Chamjoeun Travel led the way, followed by Hana Tour, in launching overseas travel product sales.
Meanwhile, Bomeulseom Tour will conduct private events upon request for family trips of two or more people and small group social gatherings, providing family-exclusive vehicles, independent meals, and accommodations at world-class chain hotels with thorough quarantine systems. Reservations can be made from January 4 at Bomeulseom Tour headquarters, website, and mobile.
