Korea Development Bank, 'Year-End Sharing of Love' Employee Fundraising Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] Korea Development Bank announced on the 29th that it conducted a warm sharing of love for underprivileged neighbors through a fundraising event for employees and executives at the end of the year.
Korea Development Bank holds a fundraising campaign every year at the end of the year involving all employees at headquarters and branches, and the bank supports matching donations to the employees' collected funds to carry out local volunteer activities by branch.
This year as well, a total of 300 million KRW was raised through employee contributions and the bank's matching donations to conduct the sharing of love event. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event was held non-face-to-face, focusing on delivering donations to welfare facilities.
In addition, Korea Development Bank conducts a year-round campaign to collect spare change from employees' salaries to raise funds for helping the underprivileged. This year, 140 million KRW collected with sincerity from all employees was donated to the nonprofit foundation KDB Nanum Foundation to support scholarships for underprivileged youth and aid for vulnerable groups.
