The church-related n-th infections in Gumi City and Sangju City have also continued for two weeks.
In Pohang City, due to concerns about rapid local transmission, social distancing was raised to level 2.5 starting from midnight on the 30th. Gyeongju City, which shares the same living area, also joined to jointly respond to the spread of n-th infections.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 29th, as of midnight that day, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area was 2,336 (including 113 imported cases), 28 more than the previous day.
The number of new confirmed cases by region is 13 in Pohang, 4 in Gumi, 3 in Sangju, 2 each in Andong and Cheongsong, and 1 each in Gyeongju, Yeongju, Yecheon, and Uljin.
Among the 13 new confirmed cases in Pohang City, 10 are contacts of previous confirmed cases in Guryongpo. In the Guryongpo area, since the soju bar owner was confirmed positive on the 24th, the number of infected local residents has reached 28, with 2 on the 25th, 5 on the 26th, and 10 on the 27th.
Among the 4 new confirmed cases in Gumi City, 1 is related to Songjeong Church, and 3 are related to members and contacts of Saemsotneun Church. Since the first confirmed case at Gumi Songjeong Church on the 20th, the related confirmed cases have increased to 58.
Among the 3 new confirmed cases in Sangju City, 1 is a contact related to Han Younghon Church in Gaewoon-dong. The confirmed cases related to Han Younghon Church, which shows a pattern of group infection after worshiping in the basement and eating together, have increased to 16 since the 23rd.
Among the 2 new confirmed cases in Andong City, 1 is a contact of a confirmed case in Daegu, and the other is a contact of a previous confirmed case (Andong case number 133).
Among the 2 new confirmed cases in Cheongsong County, 1 is a contact of a confirmed case in Daegu, and the other is a contact of previous confirmed cases (Cheongsong cases 6 to 8).
The new confirmed case (1) in Gyeongju City was confirmed positive after being tested due to symptoms while in self-quarantine following contact with a previous confirmed case (Gyeongju case number 150). In addition, 1 confirmed case each was reported in Yeongju City, related to Yeongju Church, as well as in Yecheon County and Uljin County.
In Gyeongsangbuk-do, over the past week, 280 residents (excluding imported cases) across various areas have been confirmed positive, resulting in a weekly daily average of 40 confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, in Gyeongbuk, after the daily confirmed cases peaked at 122 on March 6, the highest in the province, the number dropped to 31 on March 8. However, after showing the same daily confirmed case number of 31 on December 17, the cases surged to 59 on the 21st and 67 on the 24th, showing no signs of slowing down the spread.
