Sejong Telecom Recruiting 'Wallaby' Sellers... Up to 15% Discount on Fees Until March
[Asia Economy Reporter Seol Gina Jo] Sejong Telecom announced on the 29th that it is recruiting new sellers for its micro-fulfillment service "Wallaby," which offers hourly delivery, and will run a service fee discount promotion until the end of March next year.
Launched last November, Wallaby is a service that handles the entire distribution process?from product receipt, storage, picking, packaging, to delivery?for small and medium-sized merchants who sell products directly on their own malls or open markets without going through large distribution platforms. It connects the seller’s own mall or open market system (API) and links order information with the warehouse management system (WMS) to secure logistics data necessary for online distribution such as inventory and delivery management, providing a systematic service environment.
This promotion targets sellers newly using Wallaby until March 31, 2021. It offers a discount of up to 10-15% off the existing service fees, allowing sellers to use the delivery service at reasonable rates depending on their monthly shipment volume.
Currently, Wallaby mainly handles products that fit within courier box standards, with the sum of length, width, and height under 100 cm and weight under 10 kg. It is suitable for sellers dealing in small to medium-sized products such as food (excluding fresh food), daily necessities, beauty products, and small home appliances.
Since August, Wallaby has been running a pilot logistics center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, conducting beta tests to reduce error margins in the entire process including purchase management, inspection, inventory management, packaging, and shipping through some beauty products (purchased) and PB products sold on Wallaby. As a result, it shortened delivery times compared to existing suburban central logistics centers, improved accuracy in inventory operations, and reduced logistics costs by about 10%.
Going forward, Wallaby plans to open urban logistics warehouses in each district of Seoul, excluding overlapping bases with competitors, and cover underserved areas to handle cargo volumes more quickly and efficiently. Through this, sellers are expected to reduce unnecessary burdens such as labor costs and focus more on product selection, sales strategies, marketing, and promotion.

Kim Seong-hoon, Director of Commerce Business at Sejong Telecom, said, “Small sellers and brand companies, including one-person businesses, still have weaker delivery competitiveness compared to large distribution platforms and bear a high proportion of logistics costs. Going forward, Wallaby will reduce the burden of logistics costs on customers through economies of scale while providing fast delivery competitiveness, growing together with small and medium-sized merchants.”
