Special Christmas Gifts Delivered to Vulnerable Children in Gwanak-gu
Distributed Cake Making Kits to 154 Dream Start Case Management Families... Provided COVID-19 Customized Services Including Quarantine Supplies and Non-Face-to-Face Infant Home Schooling
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) supported the "Christmas Cake Making Kit" on the 24th to provide a warm Christmas for families under Dream Start case management.
The Dream Start project provides customized integrated services to legally vulnerable children aged 0 to 12 (elementary school age and below) and their families, currently supporting 154 households and 228 children.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic making group programs impossible, the district distributed cake making kits to 154 households under case management, conducting a non-face-to-face family cultural experience program at home.
The children happily created Christmas memories by spreading fresh cream on the cake sponge and decorating it themselves, and it was a meaningful time to enhance communication and bonding among family members through the activity with parents and siblings.
Meanwhile, despite the prolonged COVID-19 situation this year, the district supported various customized integrated services linked with local resources, such as non-face-to-face home schooling for infants and toddlers, remote psychological counseling, and distribution of quarantine supplies.
