Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Shop Donates to Hearing-Impaired Students and Housing-Vulnerable Groups
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Hyundai Department Store Duty Free is undertaking donation activities targeting housing-vulnerable groups and hearing-impaired students to mark the year-end.
On the 28th, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free announced that through the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest, it donated eco-friendly flooring and wallpaper to 10 housing-vulnerable households residing in Jung-gu, Seoul, and over 1,400 'transparent masks' to 47 disability institutions located in Seoul.
The flooring and wallpaper donated to the housing-vulnerable groups are eco-friendly flooring and wallpaper certified with environmental labels, which help improve living environments as well as prevent environmentally related diseases.
The 'transparent masks' provided to hearing-impaired individuals are masks that reveal the mouth area, essential for communication and educational rights of hearing-impaired students who need to see the speaker’s lip movements to understand the exact meaning.
