KOICA to Recruit Experiential Youth Interns in Promotion Field Until July 7
Additional Points for Document Screening When Applying for KOICA Open Recruitment... Experience in Development Cooperation and Public Relations Practice
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] KOICA announced on the 28th that it is recruiting the 15th Public Relations Experiential Youth Interns by the 7th of next month, who will produce content for KOICA's official blog and social media (SNS) and gain experience in various promotional practical tasks.
Applicants must be current students or graduates (regardless of major) who have completed at least four semesters at domestic or international universities, be under 34 years old, and have no prior experience working as a KOICA youth intern. A total of three candidates will be selected through document screening and practical and interview evaluations.
Preference will be given to those holding official English proficiency scores, those with experience in public relations and development cooperation fields, those with excellent SNS content planning and utilization skills, and those possessing abilities in photography and editing. Additional points will be awarded to employment support candidates, persons with disabilities, talents from non-metropolitan areas, and those who have completed activities as KOICA National Supporters WeKO.
The final selected youth interns will work at KOICA headquarters located in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, where they can directly experience KOICA's public relations tasks such as ▲writing articles for KOICA's official blog ▲producing social media promotional content ▲photography and video shooting/editing ▲monitoring foreign media ▲supporting administrative tasks for department operations.
The activity period is from February to June next year. Interns who complete the program will receive a certificate of activity issued in the name of the KOICA President and will be granted additional points during document screening when applying for KOICA's new open recruitment.
Additionally, interns can enhance their understanding of the development cooperation field by participating in various internal and external events (education, forums, seminars, etc.) organized by KOICA, and receive professional coaching related to development cooperation and public relations practical work through weekly mentoring sessions with public relations staff.
Applications for the youth intern position can be submitted on the KOICA internship recruitment website from December 28 until 6 p.m. on January 7 of next year. Practical interview schedules will be announced later only to those who pass the document screening.
