Seoul Reports 466 New COVID-19 Cases Yesterday... 7 Additional Deaths

As of midnight on the 26th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul increased by 466 from the previous day, bringing the total cumulative number of confirmed cases to 17,068.
Although the daily new confirmed cases in Seoul significantly decreased compared to the previous day (the 24th), which recorded the highest ever at 552 cases, it is the third highest number following 473 cases on the 18th.
A new cluster infection was confirmed, with 21 people testing positive in one day at a nursing facility in Yangcheon-gu the previous day. So far, a total of 26 related confirmed cases have been reported, including residents, facility workers, and their families.
At the Dongbu Detention Center in Songpa-gu, 5 additional cases were confirmed, increasing the cumulative number to 515. Also, 5 more cases (cumulative total 231) were linked to a church in Gangseo-gu. Additionally, 4 cases (cumulative 13) were reported at a nursing facility in Jongno-gu, 4 cases (cumulative 21) at a call center in Jung-gu, and 3 cases (cumulative 23) at a church in Geumcheon-gu.
Other cluster infections accounted for 3 cases, 241 cases were due to contact with other confirmed patients, 16 cases were contacts with confirmed patients from other cities or provinces, 9 cases were imported from overseas, and 150 cases are under investigation for their infection routes.
In Seoul, among patients who were confirmed with COVID-19 and undergoing treatment, a total of 7 people died from the 19th to the 25th, increasing the cumulative death toll to 155.
So far, 9,480 people have been declared recovered and discharged, while 7,433 are currently in isolation and treatment.
