According to major foreign media on the 25th (local time), the bodies of Rebecca Walker (45, female) and Shane Jackson (48, male) were found on the morning of the 22nd (local time) at a house in Townsville. According to the media, their son woke up from sleep and witnessed his parents collapsed, then walked about 1 km to his uncle's house to report the situation and ask for help.
The police found no traces of other suspects at the scene and tentatively concluded that Jackson killed Walker and then took his own life.
It was reported that Walker lived separately with her three children. Nevertheless, Jackson continued to follow his ex-wife, according to Walker's sister, Samantha Walker.
Samantha claimed that her sister suffered from Jackson's violence and that her death was due to domestic violence. She appealed, "Every day, women are dying at the hands of selfish men."
The 5-year-old son who discovered the scene of his collapsed parents is suffering from trauma and is currently under the care of relatives.
