View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Among those responsible for security at former President Lee Myung-bak's residence, 10 individuals have tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) on the 24th, 10 security personnel assigned to guard former President Lee's residence located in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, were confirmed positive for COVID-19. The health authorities are currently conducting an epidemiological investigation to determine the infection route and are managing the confirmed cases.
All members of the relevant department have undergone COVID-19 testing and are in self-quarantine, and contacts of the confirmed cases are also undergoing testing and self-quarantine measures. According to the health authorities, 25 colleagues who had contact with the confirmed cases tested negative.

Lee Sang-won, head of the Epidemiological Investigation and Analysis Division at the CDCH, stated, "The first confirmed case was identified on December 22," and added, "Through subsequent COVID-19 testing, additional confirmed cases were identified, and they are currently receiving treatment at medical institutions or awaiting transfer."
