According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 24th, two additional COVID-19 cases were confirmed overnight, newly registered as cases 955 and 956.
They are residents of Duam-dong, Buk-gu, and Yongsan-dong, Dong-gu, respectively, and both were found to be related to Gwangju Christian Hospital.
Case 955 is a discharged patient from Christian Hospital, and case 956 is the spouse of a nurse who tested positive before being released from self-quarantine.
Since the index patient, nursing assistant case 876, was confirmed positive on the 20th, a total of 13 cases related to Gwangju Christian Hospital have been reported.
In the Gwangju area, a total of 284,189 people have undergone COVID-19 diagnostic testing so far, with 956 confirmed positive. 1,333 people are awaiting test results.
