"The One-Piece You'll Like: Naver Analyzes User Preferences"
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Naver is launching a service that analyzes individual users' preferences and displays products in the search results in an order they are likely to like.
According to Naver on the 23rd, starting from the 28th of this month, a beta test of the 'For You (for you) Ranking' will be conducted for some users in mobile integrated search and shopping search.
This service arranges products predicted to have a high personal preference score at the top by utilizing gender, age information, and recent shopping history when searching for specific items on Naver Shopping.
For example, when searching for 'one-piece' on Naver Shopping, more than 20 million one-piece items appear. Instead of users having to search and compare various brands and shopping malls themselves, Naver analyzes shopping history and age group information to show products the user is likely to prefer first.
Naver stated, "AI automatically analyzes the user's patterns shown in past shopping history and calculates personal preferences for each product by considering the factors each user values more. These preferences are reflected in the search results to adjust product rankings tailored to the individual."
The beta test of 'For You Ranking' will be conducted targeting some fashion-related keywords within fashion apparel, accessories, sports, and leisure categories.
