Shinhan Bank Opens Applications for 'Shinhan Nanum PC' for Digitally Disadvantaged Groups
Naver Happy Bean and Public Contest Project Distribute 365 Refurbished PCs to Digitally Disadvantaged
Part of a 10-Year Eco-Friendly Social Value Creation Project Through Resource Reuse Since 2011
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Shinhan Bank announced on the 22nd that it has launched the 'Shinhan Nanum PC' contest project together with NAVER Happy Bean to protect the environment through resource reuse and practice warm sharing.
The 'Shinhan Nanum PC' project was established to eliminate the digital access gap and guarantee online learning rights by refurbishing PCs that have passed their useful life at specialized social enterprises and distributing them free of charge to children in childcare facilities or marginalized groups living in isolation from the outside world.
Applications for the contest can be submitted not by individuals but by institutions or organizations through the NAVER Happy Bean Nanum Campaign page. Applications will be accepted until January 8 next year, and the recipient organizations will be announced on January 20.
The 'Shinhan Nanum PC' project is a meaningful social contribution activity by Shinhan Bank, which has been a sustainable eco-friendly social value creation project for 10 years since 2011. It addresses environmental issues through the reuse of discarded resources and enhances social value by providing PCs free of charge to groups relatively marginalized in the digital environment.
