Professor Byeon Heon-su of Chonnam National University Appointed President of the Korean Society for Clean Technology
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Chonnam National University announced on the 22nd that Professor Byeon Heon-su (Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, College of Engineering) has been elected as the 19th president of the Korean Society for Clean Technology.
The term of the new president Byeon will be one year, from January 1 to December 31 of next year.
The Korean Society for Clean Technology, founded in June 1995, covers fields such as clean production process technology, clean material products and design, resource recycling, clean environmental technology, alternative energy technology, energy efficiency improvement technology including sustainable management, environmental pollution prevention, and future-oriented clean technology development.

New president Byeon expressed his thoughts, saying, “I will do my best to revitalize industry-academia symposiums, enhance the society’s status, improve the quality of the society’s journal, induce industry participation in the society, and create a place for the society’s development and members’ fellowship.”
