KOSPI Maintains 2760 Level... KOSDAQ Widens Decline
[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] On the afternoon of the 22nd, the KOSPI maintained the 2760 level despite net selling by foreigners and institutions.
As of 1:45 PM that day, the KOSPI index stood at 2763.35, down 0.55% (15.30 points) from the previous trading day.
The KOSPI opened at 2772.03, down 0.24% (6.62 points) from the previous day, and maintained a downward trend.
In the KOSPI market, individuals net bought stocks worth 137.2 billion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions net sold 86.7 billion KRW and 26.1 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, food and beverages (0.37%) and distribution (1.72%) rose, while transportation equipment (1.08%) and electricity & gas (2.44%) declined.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics (0.27%), SK Hynix (1.72%), and LG Chem (1.6%) fell, while NAVER (1.58%) and Kakao (0.53%) rose.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index recorded 946.91, down 0.70% (6.67 points) from the previous trading day.
The KOSDAQ opened at 953.48, down 0.01% (0.1 points) from the previous day, and widened its losses.
In the KOSDAQ market, individuals net bought 350.6 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions net sold 152.6 billion KRW and 118.5 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, construction (2.27%) rose, but non-metallic minerals (1.88%) and manufacturing (0.94%) declined.

Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, only HL Biotech (0.11%) and SK Materials (2.55%) rose. Celltrion Pharm (2.09%), Seegene (2.02%), and Alteogen (2.93%) fell.
