‘Winter with Poetry in Jirisan’ Literary Event Held
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] The Gurye Literary Association (President Poet Hong Jun-kyung) held a literary event on the 19th in front of the Iljumun Gate of Hwaeomsa Temple in Gurye-gun, where over 30 members shared warm moments in the winter mountain temple with tourists who had been refraining from outings due to COVID-19, local residents, and writers.
Supported by Jeollanam-do and Gurye-gun and organized by the Gurye Literary Association, the literary event "Winter with Poetry in Jirisan" was held while observing social distancing. The event featured poetry recitations followed by trot classic ensemble guitar performances, poetry, and songs, progressing winter literature over about an hour.
The attending writers, village elders, and tourists who came to enjoy the charm of the winter mountain temple said, "It was a long-awaited outing performance, and we received a warm year-end gift," as they turned to leave.
