SK Gas Holds ECO LPG Happiness Truck Delivery Ceremony
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Gas Co., Ltd. delivered hope through an LPG 1-ton truck to those dreaming new dreams.
On the 22nd, SK Gas held the 'Eco LPG Happiness Truck Delivery Ceremony' at Seunggawon Jabi Welfare Town in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.
The 'Eco LPG Happiness Truck Delivery Ceremony' was part of the LPG 1-ton truck driver support program "Bongo Appa, Cheer Up! Eco LPG is Here," which ran for three months starting last September. Among the stories submitted through the 'Happiness Support' segment, one of three selected recipients was given an eco-friendly LPG 1-ton truck. Due to COVID-19, the event was held simply without a separate ceremony. The remaining two trucks will be delivered separately once they are ready.
SK Gas allowed anyone nationwide to submit stories through MBC FM's '2 o'clock Manse' and the 'Bongo Appa~' event website. Among hundreds of submissions, three stories were selected: a wife from Busan who sent a story for her husband raising five children and just starting a bathroom interior business; a head of household from Daejeon who, after a long struggle, started managing water coolers but had to give up his dream due to an old vehicle; and a rehabilitation welfare worker from Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, who needed an LPG 1-ton truck for over 130 disabled people at a welfare facility.
The three selected recipients will receive support worth up to approximately 30 million KRW each, including the eco-friendly LPG 1-ton truck, startup and business support funds, and various tax consulting services.
An SK Gas official stated, "We conducted the eco-friendly LPG 1-ton truck driver support project to help those struggling due to COVID-19 this year, and we feel rewarded to have been of some help. Next year, we will continue to run various programs to support many small business owners and self-employed people operating eco-friendly LPG 1-ton trucks to create social value."
