Seoul Brand 'I·SEOUL·U' Donates 1.81 Million Won from Flea Market Proceeds to Vulnerable Groups
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 22nd that it donated 1.81 million KRW in proceeds earned from selling products co-branded by the Seoul brand 'I·SEOUL·U' and private companies at a flea market to support vulnerable groups.
The donation was delivered by Haechi, the mascot of Seoul, who visited the Seoul Social Welfare Council on the 15th.
The city, together with private companies, sold products and prototypes made using the Seoul brand and symbols at the 'I·SEOUL·U Pop-up Store' set up last month at the Hongdae Festival Street at affordable prices.
The sales proceeds of 1,811,000 KRW were fully donated in the name of I·SEOUL·U to the Seoul Social Welfare Council and will be used to support vulnerable groups and others in need.

Kim Dong-kyung, Director of Urban Branding at Seoul City, said, "I hope the donation will be used where it is most needed, such as citizens struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "I hope I·SEOUL·U, which embodies the philosophy of coexistence, becomes an urban brand that gives wings to corporate products and a helping hand to citizens."
