Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Signs 10th Consecutive Year of Dispute-Free Wage and Collective Agreement
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 21st that it has signed this year's wage agreement and collective agreement with the Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Labor Union.
The Authority and the Labor Union, based on the mutual trust and respect built over time, began practical negotiations on the 15th, and completed this year's collective bargaining in a short period without conflict, achieving 10 consecutive years of dispute-free agreements.
Through this wage and collective agreement, they agreed to implement wage increases in compliance with government guidelines, establish compensation and welfare that meet public expectations, and promote work with integrity.
Additionally, both labor and management agreed to actively respond to infectious diseases at the level of national disasters.

President Cha Min-sik stated, “Despite the difficult conditions caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic both domestically and internationally, labor and management avoided confrontation and united in a short period.” He added, “Having achieved 10 consecutive years of dispute-free agreements, we will continue to strengthen a cooperative labor-management relationship and lead the development of Yeosu and Gwangyang Ports based on this foundation.”
