Gwangju Bank Donates 160 Million Won from Gwangju-Jeonnam Love Card Contributions
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 21st that it held a donation ceremony for the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Love Card’ at Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall, attended by Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, Lee Yong-seop, Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City, Han Sang-won, Chairman of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, and other officials.
Launched in 2018 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Gwangju Bank’s founding, the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Love Card’ is a card that donates 0.5% of the usage amount of the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Love Card (Standard, Platinum, Honors)’ and 0.1% of the usage amount of the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Enterprise Love Card (Standard, Honors)’ to the Community Chest of Korea in the region selected by the customer, thereby practicing hometown love sharing.
The total donation amount accumulated from the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Love Card’ this year reached 296,019,687 KRW, of which 164,104,075 KRW was delivered to Gwangju Metropolitan City for social welfare projects within the Gwangju area.
The remaining approximately 130 million KRW is scheduled to be delivered to Jeonnam Province on the 22nd.
Gwangju Bank, which has been delivering hometown love donations from the ‘Gwangju·Jeonnam Love Card’ for three consecutive years, donated 129 million KRW in 2018 and 295 million KRW in 2019 to the Gwangju·Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea.
