Inje-gun, Distributes '2nd Disaster Basic Income'... 100,000 Won Per Resident
Online and In-Person Applications Accepted from the 21st to 29th of This Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Inje-gun, Gangwon Province, will provide the '2nd Inje-gun Disaster Basic Income,' giving 100,000 KRW per person to all residents.
The county announced on the 21st, "As the spread of COVID-19 continues nationwide, we plan to provide the 2nd disaster basic income by the end of the year to minimize inconvenience and contact among residents."
To this end, applications will be accepted for nine days from today until the 29th through direct visits, the Inje-gun website, and the mobile app ('Geuligo') for non-face-to-face applications.
During the application period, on the 23rd-24th and 28th-29th, a total of four days, there will be a focused on/offline application period for issuing the 'Inje Chaewoe Dream Card' at the administrative welfare centers in the resident's address towns and townships.
The '2nd Disaster Basic Income' will be provided to 15,714 households and 31,444 residents who have continuously registered their residency in Inje-gun from before 0:00 on November 26 until the application date. However, foreigners and overseas Koreans are excluded.
The payment is scheduled to begin on the 28th through charging the 'Inje Chaewoe Dream Card.'
Meanwhile, from January 11 to 22 next year, a ten-day period after the focused application period, the 'Inje Chaewoe Dream Card' and 'Inje Love Gift Certificates' will be provided concurrently to those who have not applied.

The county secured the budget for this 2nd Inje-type Disaster Basic Income based on the Inje-gun Disaster Basic Income Ordinance, using this year's budget that is difficult to use due to COVID-19 and next year's Icefish Festival budget. The estimated required budget is expected to reach 3.1568 billion KRW.
