[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Shinhan Bank announced on the 21st that it has launched 'STAB,' a tablet branch that enables customer consultations and banking services without restrictions of time and space.
Since introducing the first tablet branch in 2015, Shinhan Bank has actively reflected the rapidly changing financial environment and feedback from frontline employees to carry out a system advancement project that connects the bank and customers anytime, anywhere.
With the launch of 'STAB,' the bank has expanded its service scope to include various services for individual and sole proprietor customers, such as new loans and deposits, account updates, consultations and new subscriptions for Individual Retirement Pension (IRP), and new group payroll accounts. Additionally, by adding a video consultation feature, both customers and employees can now conduct diverse financial consultations without limitations of time and space.
In November, the 'Simple Real-Name Verification Service,' which allows identity verification using 'STAB' and Shinhan SOL, was designated as an innovative financial service under the Financial Regulatory Sandbox by the Financial Services Commission. Through 'STAB,' Shinhan Bank plans to enhance customer convenience by enabling financial transactions with only Shinhan SOL authentication, without requiring an ID card.
'STAB' is a core project of Shinhan Bank's 'DT Promotion Team,' established this year, which has transformed face-to-face channel-centered sales into customer-centered sales and enabled flexible channel strategy operations.
