Andong-si Receives 'Excellence Award' in Gyeongbuk Province Evaluation for COVID-19 'Hope Job Project'

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Andong City announced on the 21st that it received an Excellence Award in the evaluation of the 'COVID-19 Overcome Hope Job Project' conducted among 23 cities and counties in the province. The award ceremony will be held on the afternoon of the 21st at the 4th floor conference room of Anmin Hall, Gyeongbuk Provincial Government.
Since starting the COVID-19 Overcome Hope Job Project for the first time on August 10, Andong City has discovered over 30 projects such as the life quarantine support project and provided direct jobs to 880 citizens in three phases on September 22 and November 16.
In addition, a Clean and Safe Andong City Quarantine Team was formed and operated, led by Lee Hong-yeon, Director of the Economic and Industrial Bureau, targeting five special management areas (tourist sites, elderly welfare facilities, traditional markets, daycare centers, and schools), and was recognized for its contribution to frontline life quarantine efforts.

An official from Andong City stated, "We aim to help Andong citizens by providing jobs amid the COVID blues and local economic downturn," and added, "Next year, starting with the local quarantine job project, we plan to provide jobs to low-income groups."
