[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] A total of 23 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, including 7 new cases related to a cluster infection at a nursing hospital.
Goyang-si announced on the 19th, "On the afternoon of the 18th, 7 additional cases related to the nursing hospital were confirmed, and as of 4 p.m. on the 19th, 16 more people tested positive for COVID-19."
Among the 7 new cases related to the nursing hospital (3 staff members and 4 residents), the other confirmed cases include 6 infections among family members, 3 cases from contact with confirmed patients, and 7 cases with infection routes under investigation, totaling 16. By district, there are 7 cases in Deogyang-gu, 7 in Ilsandong-gu, 5 in Ilsanseo-gu, and 4 citizens from other areas such as Paju.
The total number of confirmed cases related to the nursing hospital, where the first case was reported on the 14th, has increased to 44.
