On the morning of the 18th, during the meeting on measures for personnel hearings of ministerial candidates held at the National Assembly, Floor Leader Joo stated, "Even for those whose personnel hearing reports were not adopted or who were deemed unqualified, appointments are being made regardless of the purpose of the personnel hearings," expressing his concerns.
On the same day, the People Power Party plans to hold a party meeting after the measures meeting to discuss strategies for responding to personnel hearings.
Floor Leader Joo said, "The candidates consistently ignore requests for document submission and explanations, treating the hearing day as just a formality to get through," and added, "Although the Democratic Party of Korea is condoning this, I urge them to thoroughly verify the public office candidates on behalf of the people and inform us of their suitability."
Lee Jong-bae, chairman of the Policy Committee, also criticized, "Most of the current candidates appear to be 'code appointments' loyal to the regime rather than based on expertise. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety, which is responsible for next year's by-elections, has again appointed Jeon Hae-cheol, a politician, as minister, and Byeon Chang-heum, who designed the Moon administration's real estate policy and was dismissed due to the failure of real estate policies, has been nominated for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport minister position."
Floor Leader Joo also launched sharp criticism regarding the disciplinary action against Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol. He said, "Democratic Party lawmakers are trying to bring down Prosecutor General Yoon with all kinds of slanders," and pointed out, "'Pathetic,' 'shameless,' 'will self-destruct,' 'are you trying to fight the president?' These are the words being used, but it is the Democratic Party's behavior that is pathetic, shameless, and invites self-destruction."
He criticized, "In a democratic country where even the president can be impeached and punished if they make mistakes, how is it fighting the president to ask the court to correct a wrongful disposition made by the president?" and emphasized, "Now, all that remains is for the courts to judge right and wrong according to the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Korea."

Regarding the reopening of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (PCC) chief recommendation committee on the same day, Floor Leader Joo said, "All those who were recommended in the first round failed to receive the consent of six out of seven recommenders and were rejected," and added, "We have received an official letter requesting the re-nomination of PCC chief recommenders, and we will find suitable candidates and recommend them as soon as possible."
