In the 2019 Gyeongbuk Agricultural Research and Extension Services project competition with a budget of 200 million KRW, young farmer Choi Yong-dae from Uljin-gun won the project under the title "Smart Strawberry Young CEO Development."
Using the project funds as seed money, Choi constructed a truss-frame wide vinyl greenhouse (1,320㎡) in Sanpo-ri, Geunnam-myeon, equipped with smart farm facilities such as strawberry hydroponic and elevated cultivation beds, and has recently begun shipping strawberries in earnest.

Choi Yong-dae expressed his ambitious aspiration, saying, "In a situation where the agricultural workforce is aging, I hope an environment where young people can engage in farming is created, and that more young people will join together. I plan to expand the strawberry cultivation area to 6,600㎡ and become a full-time strawberry farmer."
