According to Lotte Confectionery on the 17th, ‘ABC Choco Cookie Cookie & Cream’ is a product newly introduced at the end of October to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the ‘ABC Choco Cookie’ launch and surpassing 10 billion KRW in sales. Unlike the original product which featured ‘black’ chocolate, the new product contrasts with ‘white’ chocolate to enhance both taste and fun. The soft and sweet ‘Cookie & Cream chocolate’ combined with cocoa cookies offers a different flavor combination from the original product.
‘ABC Choco Cookie’ is a product where ‘ABC Chocolate’ is attached to cocoa cookies about the size of Go stones. It delivers the original taste of ‘ABC Chocolate’ while blending with the cookie flavor, creating a harmonious new taste. Since its debut in May 2019, ‘ABC Choco Cookie’ surpassed 10 million cumulative sales within three months and recorded sales of 8 billion KRW that year, making it one of the biggest hit products last year.
The sales trend of ‘ABC Choco Cookie Cookie & Cream’, which surpassed 5 million units within a month of launch, is faster than the original product ‘ABC Choco Cookie’. It is quite rare in the food industry for an extended product to gain more popularity than the original, with the only similar case being Crunky Pepero surpassing Choco Pepero sales earlier this year.
