According to a poll conducted by Realmeter on the 16th at the request of tbs, 49.8% said the disciplinary action against Prosecutor General Yoon was "harsh," 34.0% said it was "lenient," and 6.9% said it was "appropriate." Meanwhile, 9.4% responded that they "did not know."
In most regions, the response that the disciplinary action was harsh was dominant. Especially in Daegu·Gyeongbuk (harsh 73.0% vs lenient 20.6% vs appropriate 0%), the response that the disciplinary action was severe was high. In Busan·Ulsan·Gyeongnam, Daejeon·Sejong·Chungcheong, Incheon·Gyeonggi, and Seoul, the response that it was harsh was also relatively high. On the other hand, in Gwangju·Jeolla, 52.2% responded that it was lenient, showing a difference from other regions.
By age group, the response that it was harsh was also relatively high. In their 30s, 50s, and 70s and above, the response that the disciplinary action was harsh was in the 50% range. In their 60s and 20s, there were also many responses that it was harsh. However, in their 40s, opinions were evenly split with 44.3% saying harsh and 45.8% saying lenient.
Differences also appeared according to ideological tendencies. Among conservatives, 75.8% evaluated the disciplinary action as harsh, and among moderates, 55.5% said it was harsh, whereas among progressives, 61.9% responded that it was lenient. By party support, 84.0% of People Power Party supporters said the disciplinary action was harsh, while 78.0% of Democratic Party supporters said it was lenient. Among non-partisan respondents, 28.8% answered "do not know," showing a reserved response.
