LG HelloVision Steps Up to Support Small Business Owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] LG HelloVision and the Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to revitalize the local economy. They plan to promote about 1,000 local small business stores through TV and social networking services (SNS) and support the development of non-face-to-face sales channels.
According to LG HelloVision on the 17th, both parties agreed to collaborate in various areas, including ▲joint promotion of small business support campaigns using TV and SNS ▲exploring ways to develop non-face-to-face sales channels ▲establishing a cooperative system between LG HelloVision’s local broadcasting stations and SEMAS regional headquarters. LG HelloVision, together with SEMAS, will discover more than 1,000 small business stores nationwide and introduce them through local channel TV programs, news, and real-time advertisements.
To ensure continuous collaboration, the cooperation system at the regional level will also be strengthened. The 23 LG HelloVision local broadcasting stations nationwide and the 6 SEMAS regional headquarters will establish communication channels to discover outstanding local businesses. Various support policies promoted by SEMAS will also be introduced through local channel news and interviews.

Song Gu-young, CEO of LG HelloVision, said, "This agreement is significant as it lays the foundation for systematically supporting local small business owners and self-employed individuals who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19)." Jo Bong-hwan, Director of SEMAS, stated, "We expect this agreement to provide an opportunity to promote promising small business owners who had difficulty actively advertising due to cost burdens to the local community."
