[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Bitcoin, the number one cryptocurrency by market capitalization, continues its upward trend in both domestic and international markets, reaching 22 million KRW and 21,000 USD levels.
According to the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb as of 7:40 AM on the 17th, Bitcoin rose 1.77% (39,600 KRW) from 24 hours ago to 22,757,000 KRW. A total of 208.2 billion KRW worth of Bitcoin was traded during the day.
Most other cryptocurrencies are also rising. Ripple (4.52%) and Litecoin (4.13%) are up nearly 5%, while Bitcoin SV (1.53%), Bitcoin Cash (1.17%), EOS (1.14%), and Chainlink (1.06%) are also increasing.
At the same time, on Upbit, Bitcoin is trading at 22,773,000 KRW, up 7.91% (1,670,000 KRW) compared to the previous day.
Most cryptocurrencies on Upbit are also rising. Ripple (13.56%) shows a double-digit increase and is surging, while Stellar Lumens (9.39%), Cardano (6.55%), Ethereum (5.92%), EOS (5.80%), and Bitcoin Cash (5.06%) are also showing strong performance.
In overseas markets, the trend is bullish. According to the cryptocurrency market data company CoinMarketCap, at the same time, Bitcoin was up 9.41% from 24 hours ago, trading at 21,216.59 USD.
Most cryptocurrencies are also strong in overseas markets. Ripple (12.17%) and Litecoin (12.08%) are up more than 10%, while Ethereum (7.03%), Bitcoin Cash (5.01%), and Chainlink (5.08%) are also rising. On the other hand, Tether (-0.11%) is showing a slight decline.
