On the 15th, a post titled "Please create laws and systems so that self-employed people do not suffer damage from YouTubers' false broadcasts" was uploaded on the Blue House national petition board.
The petitioner, who introduced themselves as a self-employed person running a restaurant, appealed, "We do not reuse food in our store," and "Please stop the YouTuber's power abuse and tyranny through laws and systems."

They continued, "One day, a person claiming to be a food YouTuber came to the restaurant to film, and a few days later uploaded a video titled 'Unlimited refill restaurant reusing food,' which branded our store as a restaurant that reuses food."

The petitioner further claimed, "Even though the YouTuber commented that they could show all the closed-circuit (CCTV) footage, they blocked and deleted the clarification post so that others could not see it."
Earlier, on the 7th, YouTuber 'Hayan Tree' raised suspicions of food reuse in a video about the soy sauce marinated crab unlimited refill restaurant. In the video, he claimed, "There were rice grains on the refilled soy sauce marinated crab." The video also showed a menu board with the restaurant's name.
However, it was later revealed that the rice grains the YouTuber found were from the soy sauce he was pouring over the crab during the refill process.
As the controversy grew, the YouTuber deleted the related video and posted an apology video on the 11th. In the video, the YouTuber apologized, saying, "I should have actively requested feedback on why rice grains appeared on site, but I failed to do so and wronged the owner."

They added, "Our store was bombarded with countless abusive calls, complaints, and ridicule, with obscene content beyond words," and "Malicious comments flooded portal sites and communities, causing mental distress, and eventually, we had to suspend operations."
